šŸŒ©ļø Fuji 16 55 F2 8 Review

The 16/2.8 has replaced (in most cases) the 14mm/f2.8 lens in my "travel" kit. The 16mm FOV is much more versatile than the FOV of the 14mm. The size, weight and WR make the 16mm/f2.8 a better choice in general, for me. The 14mm is a superb lens, but much more specialized than the 16mm lenses (both aperture versions), IMO. With a full frame equivalent 24mm focal length, the XF 16mm f/2.8 is perfect for shooting travel and landscape photos while on the go. This lens also fills in nicely for candid people photos and a little street photography. The XF 16mm f/2.8 isn’t as fast as Fuji’s 16mm f/1.4, but it is nearly 8oz lighter, $600 cheaper, and is an overall I recently bought the XF 16-55 mm f/2.8 and tested it against the kit lens XF 18-55 came with X-E1. Advantage of the 16-55 mm is constant f-number and very good IQ at 55 mm wide open for portrait. It is slightly contrasty and slightly better IQ than the kit lens for equivalent focal length and aperture. Verdict. The Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN is a general purpose zoom with a constant fast aperture for mirrorless cameras sporting cropped APSC sensors. Announced in October 2021 at a very reasonable price of $599 or 429 pounds, it’s actually Sigma’s first zoom designed for mirrorless cameras with cropped APSC sensors. ConclusiON: REVIEW FUJIFILM XF 16-55MM F2.8. On X-cameras without IBIS, the 16-80mm F4 zoom has the big advantage of powerful OIS image stabilization. While travelling, this lens is nice and light and offers plenty of telephoto. Those who want a higher brightness and the best image quality have a nice documentary zoom with the 16-55 mm F2.8. At 18mm, sharpness is excellent across the whole frame, only dropping off towards the edges and corners at f/2.8. Whole-frame sharpness is even better at 24mm, even when shooting wide-open. Center-sharpness remains excellent in the 35-50mm sector of the zoom range, although edge-sharpness drops off a bit. Fringing: Digital Camera World Verdict. This APS-C format standard zoom for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras isn’t overly big and heavy and build quality, handling and image quality are all pretty epic, as you’d expect from one of Fujifilm’s top-end ā€˜red badge’ lenses. Fujifilm XF 16mm f2.8 R WR Pros: Well-made. Compact. Nice lens hood. Weather sealed. Fast and accurate autofocus. Excellent image quality. At f2.8, it’s still a fast lens, and if you don’t absolutely need the f1.4 maximum aperture of its larger sibling, you can save yourself $600, and get a fantastic performing lens in the process. At $399 Mid-range Fujifilm’s usually come with the neat and compact XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS, which is a bit more upmarket, while pros will gravitate towards the big and heavy XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR. Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4 R at Amazon for $799; Ignoring the XC lenses, which are more consumer-oriented, that left a big gap between the XF 18-55mm F2 Tamron’s second entry into the Fujifilm XF market is certainly a great choice. The 17-70mm f/2.8 is unlike any other lens for Fuji. While it might draw comparisons to the native 16-55mm f/2.8 lens, Tamron’s 17-70mm offers a much broader field of view, making it perfect for a variety of photography genres.
