🏒 Koss Porta Pro Driver Size
Adhisan, a local forum member, showed me his Koss KSC75. It’s an oKSC75 with a Porta-Pro style frame. The frame is a knock-off design of the original PortaPro. Surprisingly, it’s plug-and-play with the KSC75 housing.

I especially love listening to old mono Motown records or even "poorly" recorded/mastered albums like DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing" on the Koss' over a Hi-Fi setup because it can smooth over the harshness. An alternative to the Parts Express headband would be to buy a Koss SportaPro, remove the drivers and snap them into the KSC75 ear clips.

I transferred the Porta Pro drivers to the Parts Express headband and the KSC75 drivers to the Porta Pro headband. I do like the KSC75 drivers, but overall prefer the warmer, more mids and bass focused Porta Pro drivers - especially on the Project Embers with an NOS Mullard 12AT7 or CIFTE 12AU7 tube.

The Porta Pro have a better-balanced sound and a more comfortable on-ear fit that you can wear for longer than the KSC75. The Porta Pro also have a better more durable design, although not by much.
